What makes a good driveshaft
Vibration
Driveshafts made with wet carbon fibers contain many imperfections and air bubbles, these imperfections affect the overall strength of the driveshaft and create imbalances which cause vibrations at high RPM. Our driveshafts are made with dry pre-preg carbon fibers which do not have these issues.
In order to achieve a similar level of strength, wet carbon fiber driveshafts have to be made much thicker. This extra thickness adds weight and further affects the rotational balance of the driveshaft. The extra weight also affects performance.
Weight
Having a lighter driveshaft has many benefits including:
More wheel horsepower
Faster acceleration
Higher RPM
Increased clutch responsiveness
